Built to display the diverse native plants and flowers of Mediterranean climates, the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden are a serene and relaxing spot for the whole family. With opportunities for education, recreation, conservation and research, the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden offers docent-led nature tours, activities for kids, a garden shop, educational gardening classes, a concert series and many other events for San Luis Obispo visitors to enjoy for free.
Educational and fun, the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden provides endless events from bird walks, plant sales, an Earth Day Fest, and more. On the second Saturday of every month, enjoy educational programs for both adults and children, where speakers discuss a variety of topics with the goal of “education through exploration.” Stay up to date about all their classes and offerings by browsing their calendar of events.
Admission is free. Parking at El Chorro Regional Park is $3 April through September on weekends and holidays.
The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden is open during daylight hours in El Chorro Regional Park. For seasonal hours, call Eve’s Garden Shop, Library offices, and the Oak Glen Pavilion (closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day).
