How to Participate:


Step 1 – 
Be one of 250 people to register for the City of SLO Lodging Loyalty Program between Sept. 1 – Sept. 30.

Step 2 – Registrants can pick up their loyalty card at the San Luis Obispo Visitor Center (895 Monterey Street, San Luis Obispo) during their next stay at a City of SLO lodging property.

Step 3 – Get your loyalty card punched and collect your monthly perk each time you stay in SLO between Sept. 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017, by presenting your registered card to SLO Visitor Center staff along with confirmation of your booking (show email or printout with valid lodging dates, lodging property, and booking name registered to your punch card) during business hours.

  • Sunday – Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Thursday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas

Loyalty card must be presented in person at the SLO Visitor Center during the dates of your stay to receive the punches for that stay.  

Step 4 – Collect 10 punches on your loyalty card, and earn a free future night (1) stay up to $200 value at any City of SLO lodging property. Free night is valid on a separate stay through December 31, 2017. Stay must be booked by the City of San Luis Obispo, at least 5-7 business days after 10th night earned.

Step 5 – Earn double punches for staying at a City of SLO Lodging Property during the following dates!

  • October 25 – 31
  • November 15 – 21
  • November 29 – December 26
  • January 3 – January 12
  • January 17 – February 6

Rules & Restrictions


Registration

Only valid for registered City of SLO Lodging Loyalty Program members. Registration takes place September 1 – September 30, 2016, and is open on a first-come-first-served basis to the first 250 people to sign up. One loyalty card issued per household. Earning Punches & Perks

Collect punches on your loyalty card between September 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017 by booking room nights in the City of SLO during the above dates and stopping by the SLO Visitor Center during business hours to earn a loyalty card punch for each night booked. Each month, a special perk will also be offered for stays occurring within that month.

To get your loyalty card punched and collect your monthly perk, loyalty card must be presented in person during the dates of your stay at the SLO Visitor Center along with a valid booking confirmation email or printout showing dates of stay and City of SLO lodging property. Booking confirmation numbers alone will NOT be accepted. Loyalty card punches will only be given during the qualified stay. You may not redeem punches for a previous date stay. One perk offered per registered loyalty card per month. Perks vary based on month and supplies. Monthly rewards perks must be picked up during the month they are offered. Perks will not be available before or after the month they are featured.

Punches on the loyalty card are for the tracking convenience of the card holder. The night stay punch tally will also be recorded on a tracking form in the Visitor Center. Punches on Loyalty Cards must match with database at the Visitor’s Center.

Any loyalty card holders who do not earn 10 punches before June 30, 2017 will forfeit their loyalty cards and forfeit any earned punches or unearned perks.

Earning Double Punch Nights

Stays during the following dates will earn two punches per night on your loyalty card, as opposed to one punch per night. In addition, City of SLO Lodging Loyalty Program participants may receive email notifications throughout the program duration about added Double Punch Nights and additional monthly perks.

Earn double punches for staying at a City of SLO Lodging Property during the following date

  • October 25 – 31
  • November 15 – 21
  • November 29 – December 26
  • January 3 – January 12
  • January 17 – February 6

Redeeming Your Free Night

To redeem your free night stay, your actual lodging loyalty card punches must match the night stay punch tally tracked in the Visitor Center. If any inconsistencies occur, then the night stay punch tally recorded on the Visitor Center tracking form will determine if the free stay has been earned.

Present your completed loyalty card to SLO Visitor Center staff during business hours before June 30, 2017. SLO Visitor Center staff will confirm contact information, and the City of SLO Tourism Manager or Coordinator will be in contact with you within 5-7 business days to help book your free night. City of SLO Lodging Loyalty Program participant will be responsible for any room night(s) totaling more than 1 night or more than $200.

Your Loyalty Card

Damaged, lost, or stolen loyalty cards will not be replaced. Cards have no cash value. All cards and qualifying stays will be forfeited after June 30, 2017 if 10 qualifying stays are not completed and redeemed by June 30, 2017. Card may only be registered to one person, and that person must correspond with the booking name on the lodging confirmation provided to SLO Visitor Center staff.

Waitlist

The City of SLO Lodging Loyalty Program is open to the first 250 people who register between September 1, 2016 – September 30, 2016. Adding your name to the waitlist does not guarantee you’ll be eligible for the City of SLO Lodging Loyalty Program before it expires June 30, 2017. Any program availability will be offered to waitlisted names in the order they signed up. Waitlisted names added to the program after initial program registration do not get extra time to qualify for a free night, and will still be required to earn 10 nights on their punch cards before June 30, 2017.
